I've worn NYDJ for years, have bought them in many fabrics and colors, tend to keep extras on hand in the colors/styles that work with my wardrobe. My favorite style is the Marilyn Straight in a 96-98% cotton. As a long time NYDJ wearer I find sizing, fabric content and manufacture location can vary, even within a specific model. I bought the Samantha Slim in Dark Graphite last year, first time trying that style. The material for the pair I received is medium weight with a brushed (slightly sueded) finish, best for cooler seasons in my location, 80% cotton/17% viscose/3% elastane. Washed up well but notice back pockets folded down; 31.5" inseam after washing. The color is great, fabric comfortable, fit is OK; not as high in the waist as Marilyn, more narrow in the thighs and shorter, but expect the fabric will stretch some with the high viscose content. I cannot say how they hold up as unfortunately I ruined mine: missed the label on the back leg when I washed and put them away; did not notice it until this year when I took them out of storage :-(. I might buy them again if I want the brushed finish, otherwise I'll go for the tried and true.Attractive, stylish, classy jeans for grown up women. NYDJ really are a cut above. I've tried several of their styles, love them all, and these are my latest favorites. They are just the perfect jeans. Smooth, they hug nicely, no bulge and no baggy-ness anywhere, no waist gap. Pockets are deep enough I can put a car key or cash in and it stays in. Phone fits well in back pocket. Perfect stretch fabric doesn't bag at the knees even on day 3. Room for hips, but nicely slimming through the thighs. Love the perfect straight leg that hugs the thighs without squeezing (slimming!!), and just the right amount of room around the calf to not look like skinny jeans, and also enough to wear over ankle boots. LOVE. I have six pair.I can't say how much I love the fabric of these pants. They're SO soft (yet substantial - no weird panty lines). They run slightly large, so they get a bit baggy in the crotch/thigh area on me - that combined with the high wasit and larger leg opening gives them a bit of old-lady fit. I'm keeping them because I love the feel of the fabric so much, but sometimes I have a hard time styling what I wear with them. It's been hard to find light blue NYDJ styles. These are even a little lighter than I wanted, almost white, but after searching high and low, I took them. They run very long. I think I will probably hem them. Otherwise, they fit and give just like all my other NYDJ jeans, which are soon going to replace every other brand of jeans in my closet. They say size down, but with the skinny leg styles, I need a little more room in the leg, so I order my regular size. They fit just right, a little snug as skinny jeans should.Bought these jeans after buying several pair of shorts from NYDJ. Sized down (4 from a 6) as instructed and they fit very well, don't know about fit for a more curvy shape. The color (graphite) was as expected and the fabric is, what I would say, a medium weight. I am 5'6" and they are quite long (at least 4 inches) as I do not wear heels, will have to get them altered. If you are the least bit hippy, my advice is DO NOT SIZE DOWN! I ordered my usual size and I found with some "breaking in" time, that the jeans fit as snugly as I am comfortable wearing them. Maybe the sizing down is for other body types--but not the pear shapes!I love nydj jeans however I did not like the color of these for my wiDe thighs I think this would be perfect for those that are slim fit.NYDJ makes the best quality jeans that make you feel amazing and look good!I have a size 10 of this exact pair/color (agate) of jeans in my closet. I love the feel, the trim fit and style. I have now added a 'pound or two' and ordered these jeans in a size 12. The new pair size 12 is not sized correctly. They are the same size in every detail, as the size 10. The waist is the same, as is the leg width. I also ordered two more pairs - same style, size 12 - in different colors. They fit perfectly! I am so disappointed in the inconsistency in sizing. These jeans are expensive, and I expect the quality to be consistent. Quality control needs to step up their game and ensure customers get the quality expected from NYDJ.
